Thistle Dew has recently been refurbished to offer a very good standard of comfort, providing extra attention to all the details, to ensure your stay is relaxing and enjoyable.
The bungalow is in the heart of Great Yarmouth equidistant to Great Yarmouth’s lively high street and the excellent sandy beach and amusements. Having the whole bungalow to yourselves, furnished and equipped to an excellent standard offering contemporary modern home from home comforts. The home has a spacious double bedroom, modern wet room, open plan living accommodation with optional double sofa bed sleeping in the living room, dining area and well-equipped modern kitchen. Great Yarmouth has a 15 mile stretch of glorious sandy beach with pier, entertainment, Sea Life Centre, bowling, amusements, donkey rides, bouncy castles, wax world, model village, funfair for both small children and adrenaline rides, crazy golf, water park, restaurants, cafés and pubs. Deck chairs are available for hire and boat trips to visit the seals at Scroby Sands. Central beach hosts a firework spectacular each Wednesday (weather permitting) during the summer season. With many activities available all year round, please note some have seasonal openings.
The town centre has a shopping mall and market square; a great place for seeking fresh fish, sea food and fruit, along with supermarkets and a train station close by. Quayside is home to the Time and Tide Museum and Nelson’s Museum. Nearby (2.5 miles) is the stadium for grey hound racing, stock car racing and horse racing.
The famous Norfolk Broads is just 11 miles away, a National Park with over 125 miles of waterways. There are daily river and boat trips and riverside eateries. The city of Norwich (21 miles) for excellent shopping two indoor malls, market square, cathedral, castle museum, theatre, cafés and restaurants. Thrigby Wildlife Centre, Pleasurewood Hills theme park, Somerleyton Hall and Gardens within an hour’s drive. Beach 350 yards.

It's the second time we've booked Thistle Dew and will not be the last.Carol provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. Having an extra sofa was a plus.It's a warm 24/7 and comforting especially coming in from the cold days and nights.The under floor heating is perfect!Parking space for a small car is a nice touch, it saves paying for a car park, daily.It's close to the main shopping area, Pier, Theatre, pubs and restaurants.Tv in the bedroom was missing a tv remote so had to change the channel by hand on the sat box, apart from that, it's an excellent place to stay.We'll be back again in 2026.

Cottage was in a good location. It would have been good to have a few instructions in relation to tele remote controls and which bin to use for waste. Unfortunately there was a smell of smoke when we first entered the cottage.
