About this property

This contemporary chalet sits in the rural Norfolk village of Burgh Castle, close to the scenic River Yare, and just a few miles from the delightful Norfolk coast. Set over the ground-floor and offering a well-equipped interior, Sunset View is a great escape for a family of four and their canine companion, well-placed for accessing the best of the Norfolk coastline. Internally, the chalet features an open-plan living space housing a well-appointed kitchen, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and even a washing machine, so you can easily pop your clothes on a spin! After cooking up a storm, serve the fruits of your labour at the dining table before collapsing on the sofa and spending the rest of the evening catching up on your favourite shows. Alternatively, venture out to the private decking where you can enjoy your favourite tipple from the furniture and catch the last of the evening sun. When it's time to rest, pick from the double or twin bedroom, both complete with wall-mounted TVs and fresh linen. The local village of Burgh Castle offers a good choice of amenities, including a Post Office with local shop and pubs too, whilst there is also the ruins of the castle to explore, providing an insight into the daily routines and functions of the Roman Empire many years ago. The site is surrounded by lush greenery, and its proximity to the Norfolk Broads ensures an abundance of wildlife and serene natural beauty, best explored through scenic countryside walks. Travel a little further to the Seaside town of Southwold, where you can visit the famous pier and enjoy the tour of Adnams Brewery, or venture into Norwich for a taste of city life. Enjoy the best of coast and country with a stay at Sunset View. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1138213, together sleeping six guests.

Burgh Castle is a rural Norfolk village, a popular holiday spot due to its proximity to Great Yarmouth. The village backs onto the Norfolk Broads and is adjacent to the River Waveney, providing excellent opportunities for fishing, walking, cycling, and watching the local wildlife. The area has several nature reserves which include Reed Fen, managed by the rspb. Across the marsh is the Berney Arms windmill, the tallest drainage mill on the broads, with the longest sails in the UK. The delights of the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline are easily accessed, offering all the fun of traditional seaside attractions. Visit Great Yarmouth’s Heritage quarter with museums, horse racing, its long-running circus and Wednesday night firework displays. Watch the big ships arrive at the harbour town of Lowestoft, or visit one of the area's relaxing quieter sandy beaches. Local attractions include Pleasurewood Hills, Caister Castle Motor Museum, Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens, Somerleyton Hall & Gardens, Fritton Lake, and Africa Alive to name just a few! A holiday destination for all family members.
