Conveniently located alongside the owners’ village pub, The Red Lion, the barn is full of character, with exposed beams throughout the main living area of the barn. Boasting its own suntrap garden and patio with a relaxing hot tub and parking beyond, the door to the cottage kitchen leads straight from the back garden. There is a ground floor bedroom and bathroom and a large open plan living area within the main part of the barn with exposed beams throughout and a galleried bedroom looking down over the barn living room. To offer flexibility with the accommodation, there is the option to use the sofa bed in the living room. The Red Lion pub next door specialises in locally-brewed real ales and traditional pub food and also hosts a quiz as well as live music nights. There are also biannual beer festivals for guests to enjoy, hosted in Easter and the August bank holiday weekends. The village itself has a good selection of pubs, restaurants, a hairdresser’s, takeaways and a café, all within walking distance of your cottage. The area is ideal for walkers, cyclists and those wishing to enjoy the waterways of Norfolk. A little further from the village you will be able to enjoy a number of attractions including National Trust properties, the cathedral city of Norwich and the wonderful rugged coastline. The pretty Norfolk village of Coltishall is known locally as the Gateway to the Broads'. The village offers pubs, restaurants, a shop/Post Office and attractive cottages. Close by are the market towns of Aylsham and Wroxham, and walkers can enjoy the riverside footpath from Coltishall Lock. Also in the area are National Trust properties and the city of Norwich.
