About this Holiday Cottage
The original Rectory which dated back to the 16th Century, was replaced in 1852 by the younger brother, Rev Barry, of the architect who designed the Houses of Parliament.
There are two properties available: The Old Rectory and The Coach House, which neighbor each other. The Coach House is reached through 10' high wrought iron gates.
Both properties stand in their own parkland in grounds spanning 12.5 acres and provide lavish, homely accommodation for up to 20 guests - ideal for family gatherings or group holidays.
Inside
The Old Rectory is luxuriously furnished to a high standard, with impressive period features combined with modern appliances and homely furnishings. There is a large entrance hall, breakfast room, utility room, children's snug, dining room with enough space to seat up to 20 guests, and a spacious drawing room with open fires, a TV, DVD and CD player. A travel cot, high chair and stairgate are also available.
The kitchen is fully- equipped with appliances such as a double range cooker, microwave, two fridges/ freezers, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The Coach House compromises of an open- plan kitchen, dining and living area. There is also a games room with table tennis and French doors opening onto the courtyard.
Bedrooms / Bathrooms
There are ten bedrooms throughout both properties, sleeping 20 people.
Seven of these bedrooms are in The Old Rectory, where you can find 4 double bedrooms with 5' beds, two of which have en- suite bathrooms, and three twin bedrooms. There are two separate bathrooms- one with a roll top bath, and one with a shower.
There is an additional en- suite double bedroom in the Annexe, and in The Coach House there are two double bedrooms with 5' beds, and a twin room with zip and link 3' beds. The bathroom has a double ended roll top bath.
Outside
The Old Rectory and Coach House are set in 12.5 acres of grounds, and include fantastic facilities such as an outdoor all- weather tennis court, football area with goalposts, fenced off pond and terrace with outdoor furniture and a gas barbecue.
Other Things to Note
Strictly no smoking, and no pets allowed. No stag or hen parties, please. Extra children's guest beds can be added to bedrooms, at an additional cost of £23.50 each. Ample parking. Children and babies welcome.
Around and About
There are a number of fun activities that can be arranged for guests to take part in on the grounds of the property, including clay pigeon shooting, game shooting and fishing - please ask the office to organise these.
However, further afield there are a wide variety of other things to do. The Norfolk Coastline is just 35 minutes drive away, and and the city of Norwich makes for a fun day out shopping and exploring the popular pubs and restaurants there.
