Also on the ground floor is the sociable and fully equipped kitchen which features a breakfast bar and comfortable seating. Stairs lead to the first-floor landing which has some fascinating wartime memorabilia on show in cabinets. The first floor is home to the open-plan lounge/diner, a welcoming space with plenty of seating, a TV and a dining area perfect for enjoying a family meal. The remaining bedrooms are on this floor: a single and a double, along with the family shower room. A first-floor balcony and the large ground-floor decked area provide two charming spots for al fresco drinks and dining. Also on-site is a large equestrian centre with livery, paddocks, an outdoor school and horse arena – guests may make use of equestrian services for an additional cost.

From Whitwell and Reepham Station (6 miles) you can take a trip by steam train, and the historic market town of Fakenham has plenty of great places to eat, drink and shop (9.5 miles).
