Southwood House’s excellent road links opens up a wide variety of family-friendly attractions in the surrounding counties of Surrey and Kent. For the children, Chessington World of Adventures, Diggerland, Thorpe Park and Legoland Windsor are all within a 90-minute drive. For history enthusiasts, Leeds Castle, dubbed “the loveliest castle in the world” and the romantic double-moated Hever Castle are both just a 40-minute drive away and make for wonderful days out the whole family will enjoy. The coast is also within reaching distance, the Kent seaside town of Whitstable, best known for its fresh seafood, is just a 60-minute drive away.
