We’ve stayed in this lodge a few times, great quiet location on site.

Second time here and we loved it again. Perfect balance for us - close to Blackpool for days out with the kids then back in the evening to relax in the hot tub under the clearest of skies for star gazing.Spacious lodge with the biggest fridge and freezer we’ve had at one of these lodges (and we’ve stayed in quite a few!). Beds are very comfy, very clean and kitchen is well equipped.

Sunset ParkStayed here last week in the Mallard lodge, enjoyed the break away but the lodge was not up the expectations of £100+ a night standards.We don’t normally say anything on the defects of a accommodations but there was so many with this place feel its right to highlight them:Throughout the lodge there were several broken lights with bulbs not working.Hot tub had a broken control, resulting in some jets not working correctly.Kitchen cupboard outside was damaged, microwave was damaged, found a mouldy smelly tea towel in the washing machine.Living room fire was not working correctly and made a horrible noise.Dust on top of all top surfaces.Boiler was not up to scratch to provide enough hot water for a shower, even if it could have the shower was leaking so the head had no pressure and the bath panel fell off anyway.Tv remote controls damagedNo BBQ as pictured on advertsBeds are two singles pushed together – middle is uncomfortableFire extinguishers out of date, certs date 2015. (Never look at them but once you’ve had a mouldy tea towel in washer you kind of look around a bit more in depth)Personal preference but not a complaint place could do with more comfortable sofas, actual double beds for double rooms and provide oven gloves and oven trays in kitchen.The restaurant food quality and bar staff is excellent however. Could not have been more welcoming.In conclusion it was the first lodge we’ve been too, enjoyed the experience and will stay in one again but we’ll not return to Sunset Park, there’s plenty other lodge suppliers that can provide the same experience for the same costs.I know these issues could have probably been sorted whilst there but with covid around didn’t want any interactions, in my opinion given how much notice (8 months+) and the time closed with covid these issues shouldn’t have been present in the first place.
