We loved this lodge, more room than we expected, private enclosed garden. Only issues were no switch for the outside light which was on all night outside our bedroom and two double bedrooms so kids had to share a bed. Two singles would be better.

We stayed at Ribblesdale lodges many years ago and when we noticed the availability this year we decided to book again. Unfortunately we were very disappointed this time. Last time our lodge was clean & spacious enough for the two of us and the park was relaxing. However, this time we found it to be completely opposite. There are so many more lodges now, which we were aware of when we booked, but unfortunately we feel this has spoilt it. The lodges are now so close together that there is little privacy. Our lodge (Knightley lodge 48) this time was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, but the bedrooms were really badly designed as there was not enough space to get down one side of the bed & whilst the wardrobe was an ok size there were no surfaces to use or drawers to store anything. There was a small amount of space at the end of the bed so we had to leave our bags in the middle of the floor & keep stepping over them. The second bedroom was hot & stuffy but we couldn't open the window as there was no security/privacy due to it being a full height window the size of a door. There was no space at the sink or anywhere else in the bathroom to keep any toiletries. There was no electric kettle, but a steam kettle to be used on the gas hob which would've been ok had it not taken 15 minutes to boil & then it didn't fill 4 mugs so we had to boil again. The 4 plastic cups provided for use with the hot tub were the small flimsy throw away style usually provided with a water cooler machine. On arrival it was very busy with a small car park not big enough to accommodate arriving guests. We were given a small illegible map, but not shown to our lodge or given any information on how to use the hot tub, or health & safety requirements for the hot tub etc - there is usually at the least a sign next to the hot tub. The hot tub cover was broken and appeared to be quite old as the coating had perished and the foam was disintegrating into the water. There was a film on the top and around the water line indicating it hadn't been cleaned properly and the lights did not work. We asked a member of maintenance staff about these issues when he came to test the chlorine levels, but he said they're obviously broken and not replaced. The outside area which had the hot tub & seating was a raised sharp edged patio which only just fitted the table & chair set & had a 2 foot drop onto an uneven grassed area making this area cramped & unsafe. There was no guest book or other information provided i.e. rubbish/recycling disposal, nearby attractions/days out, local restaurants/takeaways etc. I understand as part of the "safer stays" during Covid some of these non-essential/high touch items are supposed to be removed, but the lodge didn't appear to have been cleaned particularly well either especially considering the current situation. The floor in particular didn't appear to have been hoovered or mopped well, if at all.I'm sure all the lodges are not as tired as this particular one, but based on our experience during this stay I wouldn't recommend staying at this park. Unfortunately, it seems to be a case of too many lodges and a casual approach to maintenance & repairs.

Our lodge 57 was in a very quiet spot with a lovely view over the fields of sheep .The hot tub was very secluded and private. We loved the fact that we had a little gated garden area ,and not overlooked by anyone.
