Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply.. The Secret Garden is a cottage style apartment located on the ground floor of Pinethwaite Hall. Set in woodlands reached by a private drive Secret Garden lives up to its name. The peace and quiet is disturbed only by a variety of wildlife including deer, squirrels, nuthatches and woodpeckers visiting the large garden. The centres of Bowness and Windermere are within easy reach and there are delightful walks direct from the doorstep to some of the best viewpoints in the area from which to enjoy the beauty of the fells and Lake Windermere. Property sleeps 2 adults and up to 3 children.
The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply.

lovely place to stay for Kendal Mountain Festival! great peaceful location only a 20 minute drive to the festival and easy to get to Windermere for public transport. Clean, warm and everything we needed. The host was super helpful and kind when we needed help with a few appliances too. Would recommend!

rural location, close to Windermere and Bowness—perfect for walks and exploring the area.The house is part of a larger property, so you can occasionally hear the neighbours, but this was only a minor issue.The visiting deer were a real highlight, especially for the kids! The house itself was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Would definitely recommend!

All good and as described. I expected to drive a bit more but there are plenty of places to visit if you don't mind a 40min walk up and down hills to get there (and I am used to the flatlands of Norfolk). I was solo but well equipped for a larger party and some outdoor space I would have used if I had travelled earlier in the year
