Snaptrip says

Guests have had a delightful experience at Snuggledown, praising its cosy, modern decor and well-equipped kitchen. The lodge's warmth and cleanliness are frequently mentioned, alongside its convenient location for exploring the Lake District. While minor maintenance issues and cleanliness lapses in the kitchen were noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge is generally celebrated for its cleanliness, though there was an isolated mention of kitchen items not being clean upon arrival. This seems to be an exception rather than the rule.

The location is consistently lauded for its convenience and proximity to local attractions and amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Comfort is a strong point for Snuggledown, with guests finding the lodge cosy and warm. The electric fire and the overall ambience contribute to a comfortable stay.

Facilities are well-regarded, particularly the kitchen equipment. However, minor maintenance issues like a problematic hob light and a chipped mug suggest room for improvement.

While guests appreciate the overall experience, there is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as no specific gifts or extra touches are consistently mentioned across reviews.

Sadly the kitchen is a little lacking of basic items for example there was no potato peeler, and only 3 drinking glasses. All items in kitchen were dirty with dried on food and stains when we arrived, so had to put through several dishwasher loads to clean them. The en suite had a very strong smell of urine. Other than these items that can be easily remedied with better cleaning, the lodge itself was lovely and we would recommend.

The location is perfect. We know the area quite well But managed to find new places. One slight problem with a blind on the floor when we arrived. I called the maintenance number and they were there within the hour and it was promptly fixed. We would love to stay again.
