Guests say

Rose House in Windermere receives high praise for its prime location, comfort, and well-appointed facilities. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, modern decor, and thoughtful touches such as a welcome hamper and games. The proximity to local attractions and the inclusion of a pub across the road add to the charm. While minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Most guests found Rose House to be exceptionally clean, with only one review mentioning issues with cleanliness upon arrival, such as crumbs and dog hair. This seems to be an isolated incident, as other reviews do not reflect this experience.

The location is consistently praised for being perfect, with easy access to both Windermere and Bowness. The convenience of nearby attractions and the local pub is frequently highlighted.

Guests are very satisfied with the comfort of Rose House, mentioning comfortable beds and a homely feel. The only minor discomforts reported are related to a broken kitchen bin lid and a toaster not fully working.

The facilities at Rose House are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and enjoyable outdoor patio. Some minor maintenance issues like a broken bin lid, a toaster not fully working, and a drafty kitchen window are noted, but they do not significantly detract from the overall experience.

The thoughtfulness of the host is evident through the provision of a welcome hamper and special touches for children. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The kitchen dining area is fantastic for a family gathering and the house is well looked after and suitably safe for a three and a six year old. Great location for walking into Windermere or Bowness. Fantastic help from Debbie when the shower broke on Christmas Eve. No bin bags left and could do with some more tea towels and toilet rolls but they’re just pointers. Stay was perfect for Christmas; the house was decorated beautifully, the welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the gift bags left for my daughters were received with delight. The owners went over and above to make our stay special.
