The off street parking was so helpful. The property is really well equipped with lots of space yet feels so cosy & homely. The layout for perfect for us with all bedrooms having an en-suite bathroom as we were holidaying with grown up children. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Few issues to highlight that would help though….the cleanliness was overall very good however the cooker hood extractors/filters are badly needing deep cleaned or replaced. The shower in the en-suite above lounge has a loose connection as was difficult to stop the shower dripping. Overall though a great stay though, very good location and modern house…….perhaps a starter pack for the wood burner would help guests for the first night.

Great to be in the town, near shops etc with on site parking. 3 comfortable bedrooms with good quality bedlinen & excellent bathrooms. Plenty of hot water & the property was cleaned well. 3 comfy sofas in the lounge too. However there were some minor problems. Some issues were easily rectified: there were no egg cups, or a tray in the kitchen. A tray is vital when you have to carry food up steps from the kitchen, & through the lounge to get to the dining room. There were no basins or bowls for cooking in the kitchen. We like to have scrambled eggs for Christmas Day breakfast but there was nothing to mix them in. I was able to purchase all the missing items from a local hardware store. I left these when we ended our stay. The property description said a starter pack for the log burner would be provided - it wasn't. Again we bought kindling, logs & firelighters locally. Unfortunately there was an issue with lack of heating in the dining room, despite adjusting the thermostat. This meant that it was decidedly chilly in the room, uncomfortable when you are eating meals, especially your Christmas lunch! We did contact Lakelovers who sent someone to check the heating but he just confirmed the radiators didn't need bleeding & we would need a plumber, which he would arrange. As we were leaving the next day, I don't know if the matter was resolved. A note about the spiral stairs: although the property description was accurate, the stairs are extremely narrow and there are areas in the bedroom it leads to where it's easy to bang your head (despite one beam being padded!)
