Nutkins Nook is highly praised for its comfortable and well-equipped accommodation, offering a peaceful and convenient location between Windermere and Ambleside. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, the proximity to bus routes, and the thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack and bird food. While some minor suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many looking forward to returning.
Guests consistently mention that the property is 'spotlessly clean', indicating a very high standard of cleanliness throughout the accommodation.
The location is frequently described as excellent, with easy access to local attractions via bus and car. The proximity to Windermere, Ambleside, and public transport is a highlight for many guests.
Reviewers find the cottage very comfortable, mentioning the 'comfiest' beds and a 'warm and cosy' atmosphere, suggesting a high level of comfort for guests.
The property is well-equipped with modern conveniences, though some guests suggest the addition of a freezer. The presence of bird feeders and a strong WiFi connection are positive aspects, but the lack of a freezer or ice box leads to a slightly lower score.

We have just had a wonderful week staying at Nutkins Nook. The accommodation is beautiful with everything that you could possibly need. There was a lovely welcome pack left for us which was greatly appreciated. It is a short drive between Windermere and Ambleside but we found the busses that run from the end of the lane perfect for getting around if you don’t want to drive. You also get to appreciate the gorgeous scenery from the top deck. We arrived during storm Amy and missed the turning first time due to heavy rain, traffic jams and flooded roads. As someone else said previously look for the bus shelter and the lane is just up the side of it. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and warm and cosy. We loved watching the many birds that visited and also saw a woodpecker visit twice. We gifted you 2 new feeders as the ones there were damaged. Bird food was supplied which was a lovely touch. The bed was one of the comfiest we’ve ever had and there was ample space for clothing and storing luggage. The TV was easy to work and it has a great sound system which you can connect to so you can play your own music or music through the Sonos app. WiFi was also good with a strong and reliable connection. We can’t wait to return in the future
