Feather Hill Lodge is a charming holiday lodge nestled in the grounds of White Cross Bay near Troutbeck Bridge, Cumbria. The kitchen is well-equipped with a gas oven, gas hob, kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, wine chiller, and toaster—ideal for preparing everything from hearty breakfasts to evening feasts. The dining area provides a welcoming spot for meals together, while the sitting area, complete with an electric fire and Smart TV, is perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.

The lodge features two bedrooms: a king-size with TV and en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a twin room with TV, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for up to four guests. A separate shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC adds convenience for families or groups. Central heating ensures comfort throughout the seasons, and WiFi keeps everyone connected. Outside, guests can enjoy an enclosed decking area with furniture—ideal for morning coffees or evening drinks in the fresh Cumbrian air. Off-road parking is available for two cars, and a high chair can be provided for those travelling with little ones. With no pets and no smoking permitted, Feather Hill Lodge offers a clean and peaceful environment.

The small village of Troutbeck Bridge lies between the famous towns of Windermere and Ambleside, close to the renowned Kirkstone Pass, within the Lake District National Park. Made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages, this quiet village offers a thriving and very popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food. Why not leave the car at home, with great connections, you can catch the bus here which regularly runs from the train station all the way up to Keswick via Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere. Explore Brockhole Visitor Centre with tree-top adventures and childrens play park which is close by - boats to Ambleside and Bowness call in here along with some Lake Cruises in season. There are also some charming walks and bridleways to explore directly from here up into the beautiful Troutbeck Valley and across to Wansfell, as well as the gardens at Holehird, which are run entirely by volunteers and are an enchanting and inspiring place to explore. The bustling towns of Windermere and Ambleside are close by, providing a range of amenities including shops, pubs and cafes. Lake Windermere boasts a range of lakeside activities, including trips to the famous Aquarium and the renowned Grizedale Forest Park, whilst children will enjoy the World of Beatrix Potter in nearby Bowness, where technology brings her characters to life. With destinations such as Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains all within easy reach, Troutbeck Bridge is an ideal location for exploring all that the region has to offer.
