Lovingly renovated by the owners, no expense has been spared to ensure that this apartment offers contemporary comforts that you may need or expect from a self-catering property in the Lake District National Park. Unlike many of the apartments within this development, Fawn View is very spacious. The entrance hall opens onto a well-equipped kitchen with all of the necessary appliances you need to cook up a feast for the senses. There are three comfortable bedrooms in this fantastic apartment, one of which has a Freeview TV. The cosy living/dining room has a 40" Freeview TV mounted on the wall, along with an electric fire, dining table and French doors leading onto the small balcony with outdoor furniture.
Set back from the main road that runs through Bowness-on-Windermere, Fawn View enjoys a quiet residential location which is conveniently close to all of the town’s amenities. There is also allocated parking which means that you don’t have to worry about town centre traffic and parking charges. There is a short cut next to the apartment which will take you into the town centre, where you will find an excellent selection of bars, cafés, restaurants, takeaways, pubs and shops. Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to a traditional cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction, which is very popular with families. Other family friendly places to visit include the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeland Aquarium, Motor Museum and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway. Lake Windermere is just a 10-minute walk away and from here you can either hire a boat or take a ride on one of the old Victorian steamers. The surrounding fells offer lots of great walking opportunities, making it the perfect base for families who like to keep active. Grizedale Forest also makes for a great day out with plenty of trails, mountain biking and the Go Ape Treetop Adventure. Other popular Lakeland towns within easy driving distance include Windermere, Ambleside, Kendal, Hawkshead, Cartmel and Ulverston. great place to stay,trouble to get the keys out of key box to get into place ,also could not get hob to work ,the apartment was local to every thing ,the local cinema was amazing stepping back in time ,resturants and pubs everywhere,the theatre was amazing and of course beatrix potter museum the lakes tremendous, would go there again . we was not to bothered about the hob but they must sort out the key box.

Second time we have visited this property in six months.It is very well situated for all that Bowness has to offer, but in a quiet location, with parking, which is a huge bonus. It is spacious, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so ideal for our family of three generations.It was pleasing to see that cutlery and pans has been replaced since our last visit, but the chipped crockery remain.Unfortunately we felt that the level of cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms wasn’t as good as that during our last visit. Underneath the rims of both toilets was pretty disgusting. I appreciate that time is limited for a thorough clean on changeover day, but bathrooms and kitchens should be a priority.We also had a problem with our refuse and recycling. The bin and lock up were full to overflowing, and looked as though they hadn’t been collected for weeks. We couldn’t find information about collection dates anywhere in the files, and ended up taking our rubbish and recycling up to the recycling area in Windermere.Once these issues have been addressed, we would be happy to book this property again, and hope that these points are noted and actioned.

Loved our stay. Lovely and clean and so close to everything. We were also really greatfull to see new pans and cutlery this time from the last visit this was really appreciated.
