Unlike many of the apartments within this development, Fawn View is very spacious. The entrance hall opens onto a well-equipped kitchen with all of the necessary appliances you need to cook up a feast for the senses. There are three comfortable bedrooms in this fantastic apartment, one of which has a Freeview TV. The cosy living/dining room has a 40" Freeview TV mounted on the wall, along with an electric fire, dining table and French doors leading onto the small balcony with outdoor furniture.
Set back from the main road that runs through Bowness-on-Windermere, Fawn View enjoys a quiet residential location which is conveniently close to all of the town’s amenities. There is also allocated parking which means that you don’t have to worry about town centre traffic and parking charges. There is a short cut next to the apartment which will take you into the town centre, where you will find an excellent selection of bars, cafés, restaurants, takeaways, pubs and shops. Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to a traditional cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction, which is very popular with families. Other family friendly places to visit include the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeland Aquarium, Motor Museum and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway. Lake Windermere is just a 10-minute walk away and from here you can either hire a boat or take a ride on one of the old Victorian steamers. The surrounding fells offer lots of great walking opportunities, making it the perfect base for families who like to keep active. Grizedale Forest also makes for a great day out with plenty of trails, mountain biking and the Go Ape Treetop Adventure. Other popular Lakeland towns within easy driving distance include Windermere, Ambleside, Kendal, Hawkshead, Cartmel and Ulverston. Overall we had a very good holiday.The location is fantastic and the apartment has excellent facilities and everything you need for a pleasant stay.The cleaning was of a good standard however there are areas for improvement. The small bathroom has mould spotting within the shower unit which could easily be resolved. The built in oven needs a deep clean and the living room carpet has a number of stains requiring a clean.That said we would definitely return, thank you for a lovely break

great place to stay,trouble to get the keys out of key box to get into place ,also could not get hob to work ,the apartment was local to every thing ,the local cinema was amazing stepping back in time ,resturants and pubs everywhere,the theatre was amazing and of course beatrix potter museum the lakes tremendous, would go there again . we was not to bothered about the hob but they must sort out the key box.
