Although the property was clean it is very dated. The kitchen is old and in need of a revamp, the bathroom is tatty ( sink plug doesn't work and the shower door is dangerous, it falls off its runner and could cause serious injury). The whole building is cold and even with the heating being on the heat just drains from the building. And there's a smell about the property, once the smell of bleach wore off it has a musky old smell, lots of air freshener needed daily.

Excellent location and parking. Quite the exercise walking up the hill but nevertheless a brilliant base for exploring the Lakes. As with other reviews we found beds in both rooms a little uncomfortable as sprung and in need of some cushioning. Shower was excellent although had to be careful with the door as fixture at base in need of some attention. We recommended that my elderly aunt not use it in case it came off on her.

Great location apart from the hill when walking back! Had a very musty smell most of the time that didn’t go even when the windows were open. Double bed was very uncomfortable could feel the springs digging in your back. Was lovely to have a balcony but couldn’t make the most of it as the trees blocked the views. Had to wash crockery before we used it as was not very clean. Shower door was broke which I did receive an email about when we arrived.I wouldn’t return to this property but would definitely return to Windermere!
