32 Grasmere is a welcoming single-storey lodge providing a restful base for families or couples eager to explore the Lake District National Park, set in the tranquil surroundings of Troutbeck Bridge, Cumbria.
Inside, the open-plan living area is arranged for easy, relaxed living, combining a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and inviting sitting space. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, giving you everything needed for effortless self-catering. Unwind after a day’s adventure beside the electric fire, or enjoy a quiet film night on the Smart TV.
The lodge offers two comfortable bedrooms: a double with Smart TV and en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, and a twin room, both served by a bright bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. With gas central heating throughout, the property remains warm and welcoming whatever the season.
Step out onto the enclosed decking to take in the fresh Lakeland air, or relax with a morning coffee as the sun rises over the trees. There’s off-road parking for two cars, and for a peaceful stay, pets and smoking are not permitted.
Local amenities are conveniently close, with a friendly pub and handy shop both within easy reach. Explore the nearby towns of Windermere, Ambleside and Kendal, each offering a mix of lakeside charm, scenic trails, independent shops and traditional eateries. From leisurely cruises across Lake Windermere to hikes with breathtaking views, this area offers something for everyone.

The small village of Troutbeck Bridge lies between the famous towns of Windermere and Ambleside, close to the renowned Kirkstone Pass, within the Lake District National Park. Made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages, this quiet village offers a thriving and very popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food. Why not leave the car at home, with great connections, you can catch the bus here which regularly runs from the train station all the way up to Keswick via Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere. Explore Brockhole Visitor Centre with tree-top adventures and childrens play park which is close by - boats to Ambleside and Bowness call in here along with some Lake Cruises in season. There are also some charming walks and bridleways to explore directly from here up into the beautiful Troutbeck Valley and across to Wansfell, as well as the gardens at Holehird, which are run entirely by volunteers and are an enchanting and inspiring place to explore. The bustling towns of Windermere and Ambleside are close by, providing a range of amenities including shops, pubs and cafes. Lake Windermere boasts a range of lakeside activities, including trips to the famous Aquarium and the renowned Grizedale Forest Park, whilst children will enjoy the World of Beatrix Potter in nearby Bowness, where technology brings her characters to life. With destinations such as Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains all within easy reach, Troutbeck Bridge is an ideal location for exploring all that the region has to offer.
