We stayed at this cottage April 26 and while it’s set in a truly stunning location, there were several aspects that were disappointing and did not match the listing description.Firstly, the property is in need of updating. The living room and kitchen feel quite dated and could benefit from refurbishment. The exterior of the cottage is also very brightly coloured, which may not be to everyone’s taste and wasn’t quite what we expected from the photos.Privacy was another issue. The property is not as private as advertised, with a campsite attached nearby. The garden was also not as appealing as hoped due to a large, rather unattractive water feature that dominates the space.Practical information was lacking too—there was no clear instruction manual for essentials like the WiFi or cooker. The WiFi itself was also unreliable during our stay.On a more positive note, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, which we really appreciated.Overall, while the setting is beautiful and the bedrooms are a highlight, the property would benefit from updates and a more accurate description to better manage expectations.
