All the home comforts one could wish for and being so close to the various restaurants etc was a real boon.

A lovely cottage right in the heart of Pooley Bridge. Easy to find (although the location on Google Maps and What3Words is wrong), just turn right before the church and it's on the right three houses up. Welcome basket with quality tea and coffees, a pack of chocolate muffins, milk in the fridge, and the log fire as set and had a supply of logs (not that we used it, too hot !!). The driveway is a little narrow, but room for 2 cars easily. Layout of the cottage is quirky at the rear extension, but plenty of room to eat and relax. Outdoor space is nice, chairs and sun parasols too, which were needed. Nice range of shops in Pooley Bridge for supplies, and a few pubs/restaurants (but pricey!). Pizzas available across the main road 100m walk are fantastic, and I guess £15/each is reasonable given the quality. 400m walk to river, ... a further 500m to lakeside. Lovely shallow water for paddling, or venture a bit further out to paddleboard and swim. Really helpful owner, quick to reply when I had any queries.

Great litte bungalow very clean and in a fantastic location, needs updating, and the storage heaters need replacing with a more modern system, overall a solid 4 out of 5, and id definitely book again.
