Beautiful cottage with incredible views! A few small points to mention which once changed would make this a perfect stay. The track leading to the property should be described as very off road, some cars would certainly struggle if there low. The property itself needed some additions such as lamps in the lounge, side tables for all rooms and beds as we had adults in the twin room. Bathrooms only had a small amount of toilet roll available when arriving, the welcome pack was very minimal. There is a coffee machine and so beans would be required to be able to use it. There was only a mirror in each bathroom, not in the bedrooms. Two of the guest towels provided were of very poor quality in comparison to the other 4. And finally the master bedroom sheet was covered with bobbles from wear and needs replacing for comfort. If these changes were made, the property would be the perfect stay and somewhere we would rebook.

We had a wonderful family Christmas at Striding Edge Cottage. We particularly chose it for the remoteness/ location/ scenery. The house was fantastic, with everything we needed, as well as fabulous walks from the doorstep. We loved Glenridding. The locals are really lovely. The corner shop was open from 7am, so although we were tucked away, there was still pubs, shops and cafes at the bottom of the lane. It is a bumpy lane, but not a problem. It was exactly what we were hoping for: a real experience of the Lakes and outdoors. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Everything has already been said - spectacular location for those who love the mountains - track is tricky in some places - take it slow and you’ll be fine. Kitchen is well equipped and bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent. Negatives - home touches are needed- the furniture is a bit stained in places whilst the armchairs are uncomfortable and old. However I’d go again in a heartbeat. Glenridding is a delight - excellent pub food and the views from the cottage are unsurpassed.
