Having the secure yard made it easier when my son and daughter in law came round as they could leave the buggy in the yard. the only downsides were the height of the shower tray, it was impossible for my parents to use it, even my boyfriend and myself tripped once and the hot water was very hit and miss. in order to wash up, we had to keep boiling the kettle. Other than that, it was nice. We know Shap well as we visit regularly as my son and daughter in law live there.

Every room was clean and well furnished and we felt very welcome.the owners fully deserve a fiver star rating.thank you also for the the local information leaflets which we found really helpful.

Cottage is clean and comfortable and there are lots of nice walks around Shap. Good location for visiting further afield. Shap Itself is very dog friendly and a lovely Sunday lunch to be had at The Kings Arms. Would definitely come back. Only a suggestion but a bit of extra comfortable seating in the living area would be a bonus as itâs a bit of a squeeze for 4 guests unless you use the rocking chairs so there was always intense competition for the 2 seater sofa! :)
