From here you can take in the magnificent scenery from the water when onboard one of Ullswater steamers to Howtown where there is a tea room or further to the lively village of Glenridding which has a sailing centre. For a more leisurely day indulge in a spa day at the local Hotel less than a mile away. The Byre was the first cottage to be competed. Step outside to the enclosed outdoor seating area for a morning brew overlooking a meadow. No longer a working farm, 5 of the traditional stone buildings have been lovingly converted into stylish self catering cottages with character and exposed beams providing the perfect spot to savour the surroundings. Designed for comfort and ease of use the cottages offer a one level living experience. The cottages sit privately from each other and all have an enclosed outdoor seating area with furniture and fire bowl. There is ample parking and storage for kayaks and bikes. Less than a 20 minute drive from the M6 makes High House Farm accessible for short breaks or full week holidays. Need to know: 1 bedroom 1 super king, DAB radio, hair dryer. 1 bathroom en suite with shower over bath, underfloor heating, heated towel rail and WC. TV in living room with Sky channels. Electric oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with icebox and washer/dryer. Electric heating. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Enclosed outdoor seating area with furniture, fire bowl and washing line. Communal utility shed with logs, firefighters for the fire pits, extra freezer space, dog towels, secured bike storage, hanging rack. Ample parking sorry no car charging. Please note departure time is 9.30am. Bus stop under 1 mile. Pub 1.5 miles. Nearest village Pooley Bridge 3 miles. Nearest town Penrith 7 miles.
