Snaptrip says

River Bank (Langdale) is a well-furnished and equipped cottage praised for its beautiful location, ideal for walking and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the modern bathrooms, cosy atmosphere, and the addition of thoughtful touches like books and games.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally maintains good cleanliness, though some guests noted issues such as dust and outdoor furniture needing attention. Bedding and kitchen cleanliness received mixed feedback, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly regarded for its easy access to walking trails, proximity to a cafe and pub, and the overall beauty of the Lake District. Its convenience for exploring nearby towns is also appreciated.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm and cosy atmosphere, well-furnished rooms, and modern bathrooms. The presence of a log burner adds to the comfort, although some guests were unable to use it due to a lack of logs.

The property is well-equipped with a modern kitchen and bathrooms, though some guests missed having basic consumables and clear instructions for appliances. The addition of an en-suite was well-received, but some found it cramped.

While guests appreciate the well-equipped nature of the cottage and the presence of books and games, there is no consistent mention of welcome gifts or additional thoughtful gestures that would warrant a score in this category.

'Chesters' on the doorstep was a bonus. Also a good nights sleep with comfy beds and little noise to bother us. Ideal for two people and fine for four. Some small things would improve the welcome when arriving, some logs for the log burner, some washing up liquid and enough dishwasher tablets for a week , its disappointing having to turn round when arriving and go out again for the basics. The one really negative part was that there was not enough hot water to fill a bath, numerous trips up and down stairs were required with boiled kettles of water to have something approaching a normal bath temperature, even with the emersion switched on. Maybe the tank thermostat needs adjusting??

Cottage was well equipped and we cooked with ease most nights. Very warm, which was welcome to dry wet clothes. Fabulous boot room- we’ve done many Lake District stays and this was a winner for us. Nice selection of books and games were appreciated.
