Pavey Ark is a well-received apartment in Ambleside, praised for its stunning views, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities and the thoughtful touches, such as complimentary items, that contribute to a homely feel. Some minor issues with maintenance and cleanliness were noted, but overall, the property offers a memorable and enjoyable stay.
Most guests found the apartment to be clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned cobwebs, a mould issue in the bathroom, and remnants of tinsel, indicating room for improvement in thoroughness and attention to detail in cleaning.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to the town centre, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and walks. The steep path to the property is noted but does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.
Guests consistently mention the comfort of the beds and seating, contributing to a relaxing stay. Some guests found the apartment chilly in certain areas, suggesting that heating could be improved for optimal comfort.
The apartment is well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen and luxurious bathrooms. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as a faulty dishwasher and toaster, and suggestions for updates to the decor and furniture.
While guests have mentioned thoughtful touches like complimentary Prosecco and a Harry Potter scrabble board, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent or guaranteed for all stays. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

The apartment is warm and comfortably furnished. The picture window view over Ambleside is very special. The kitchen area has everything you could want or need for self catering, and the area has many fine restaurants and cafés if eating out. Our sincere thanks to the owners for a lovely week.

However there needs to be more attention paid to the cleanliness. When I used the footstool it was obvious it had not been moved to hoover under it and the dust on the hinges of the washing machine and kitchen shelves showed the kitchen wasn't thoroughly cleaned either. In the en suite bathroom there is mould in the shower and the walls are badly marked. It would be better to tile the walls or use washable paint which would make keeping it clean much easier. I have stayed in this complex previously although not at Pavey Arc and in my opinion the whole place is looking very dated and in need of a face lift. For this reason I wouldn't stay here again on my next visit as there are many other properties in the town which offer better options.
