This second floor apartment commands magnificent views over Wansfell and towards Helvellyn. Situated within a small development called Oaklands, close to the centre of Ambleside, within a short stroll from the many shops, restaurants, pubs and local attractions together with the wide variety of excellent walks. In all an extremely comfortable apartment, appointed to a high standard and in a central location, from which to explore the delights of the Lake District National Park.

We really enjoyed our stay at'Oaklands'! It is perfectly placed in a quiet part of Ambleside and easy walking distance to all the town has to offer with private parking. Great location for exploring the wonderful Lake district.The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you might need.The key pick up was easy for us in Windermere as office still open and a lady helped us with key box outside. Drop off on a Sunday morning was also easy. The views out of the apartment are stunning and well worth climbing stairs for! Thanks for a wonderful stay in this beautiful part of the UK!

The very sagggy sofas (which have been mentioned months ago on a previous review). No hand soap in kitchen or bathroom and no supply of washing up liquid in kitchen. The radiator didn't work in the twin bedroom. A shelf would be useful in the shower. Also mentioned previously the fridge and freezer door access is up against the wall, behind the kitchen door,which made it very difficult to open them.We were told the towels were an extra charge but they were supplied even though we said we would take our own.On the plus side the location was fabulous and having parking available was great.

Good location, with easy access into town. Great to have a private parking space. Nice views of Wansfell and over town. Suited our needs for the week. Would be handy to collect keys in Ambleside to avoid a stop in Windermere.
