We are thrilled to offer this idyllically located, lavishly furnished and generously proportioned property for four people. Situated just outside Ambleside with breathtaking views of Lake Windermere and surrounding mountains and yet within walking distance of the village. The house (all except the Amdega conservatory) dates back to 1840 and is full of character and is one of three properties converted from a previous Country House Hotel, but has been redesigned for the 21st century and much use has been made of Laura Ashley fabrics and furnishings.
The semi-detached house is of an open plan design consisting of a fully equipped kitchen and spacious living room, with a fantastic conservatory featuring the dining area, and two delightful en-suite bedrooms with wonderful views across the valley towards Wansfell Pike. Immediately outside the house is a lovely patio complete with garden furniture, and benefiting from stunning views. The garden then slopes away from the house down a meandering lawn with mature borders to the ’secret’ garden which is a beautifully sheltered sun trap.
The central location of the house to the Lake District makes it easy to access the many and varied attractions the Lake District offers. Footpaths begin right on the doorstep.
Fellmere is a truly impressive holiday home where every thought has gone into the comfort and enjoyment of the guests who stay there.
There are drops in the garden.

Fantastic cottage. Warm, cosy, clean and brilliant location. Really appreciated as the weather turned very cold unexpectedly. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely place. Nice, clean and warm.Spacious downstairs and both bedrooms. Everything needed in the kitchen except the fridge has a side shelf missing in the door so had to remove shelves to keep bottles etc upright ( not a big issue though )One note is that the showers were very intermittent. Either cold or boiling hot and couldn't adjust with the controls and/or the immersion. A short but steep walk up and down to the town. Would recommend.

Fantastic location. Quiet and peaceful. Amazing views from the conservatory and garden. Cottage was roomy and clean. Beds were comfortable with lots of wardrobe space. Great walks from cottage. Hill into and back from town was very steep, not for the feint hearted! We had a lovely 2 weeks here. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
