Guests say

Guests consistently praise the cottage's fabulous location in Ambleside, its spaciousness, and the comfort it provides, particularly noting the warm bedrooms and powerful shower. The large garden is highlighted as a bonus, especially for summer stays. While some minor maintenance issues and challenges with communication are mentioned, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The cottage is generally described as clean, with specific mentions of its tidiness. However, one review noted issues with dirty rags and a broken extractor fan, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for being central, quiet, and close to local amenities, with great views and easy access to restaurants, shops, and walks.

Comfort is well-regarded, with guests finding the cottage warm and the beds comfortable. Some concerns about steep staircases and chilly moments suggest slight deductions.

Facilities are adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, comments about insufficient cutlery, non-working TV apps, and missing parking permits indicate that some attention to detail is needed.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Bedrooms big and comfortable. Location and views great. House clean and spacious. There is no DVD player and the TV did not work. The radiators were far too hot and dangerous if bare skin accidentally touched them. The house was cold when we arrived. No instructions about central heating but fortunately the system was similar to one I'd used in the past. The car park permit was essential but there was no guide to nearest car park.

Great place for a group catch up. No allocated car parking on site but we didnt see this as an issue as there was a permit for a nearby carpark. We sis get luck with on street parking too. Fab location, great value. Just booked a return visit. Also large garden for being so central, didnt make full use it as it was winter time. Would be good in the summer for kids especially as very secure.
