Bank End Lodge is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its stunning views, especially from the hot tub, and its comfortable and well-equipped interiors. The location is ideal for exploring the Lake District, with guests appreciating the proximity to local attractions and the convenience of a nearby pub. The property is family and pet-friendly, offering a secure garden and ample space.
Cleanliness received mixed feedback. While some guests found the lodge clean and tidy, others noted it could have been cleaner, with mentions of cobwebs and the need for better maintenance in light of Covid-19. The overall impression suggests room for improvement in this area.
The location is highly regarded for its beautiful views and proximity to local attractions, including the Lake District's renowned sites. Some guests mentioned the convenience of a nearby pub and the ease of access from the M6. However, a few noted the drive to popular towns like Bowness and Windermere was longer than expected.
Guests generally found the lodge comfortable, with comfy beds and sofas, and a well-equipped kitchen. Some suggested improvements like additional cushions for dining chairs and single beds in each room for more privacy. The secure garden and child-friendly amenities added to the comfort of the stay.
Facilities were well-received, with the hot tub being a highlight despite some reports of maintenance issues like non-working jets. The property is equipped with a variety of appliances and entertainment options, although there were comments about missing items like a CD player. The well-stocked kitchen and secure outdoor space for pets were positives.
While guests appreciated the welcome pack and the provision of children's books and games, there were no specific mentions of gifts that would influence the thoughtfulness score. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score for this category, but the overall experience suggests the owners cater to guests' needs.
