With one of the mildest climates in the north of England, the beautiful Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands is situated between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay. Grange-over-Sands, formerly a sleepy fishing community, was turned into a chic Edwardian resort with the construction of the Furness Railway. A traffic-free promenade, lovely ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band performances, and fantastic bird watching are just a few of the many attractions the town has to offer visitors today. Lake Windermere (8 miles), the charming communities of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, and Cartmel, the birthplace of sticky toffee pudding, are all easily accessible by car. Cartmel also boasts a renowned racecourse and the L'Enclume restaurant, which has been ranked as the fourth best restaurant in the UK.

The lodge was spotless, the hot tub was perfect and the views were stunning. Great hospitality which gave you privacy but were there to accommodate you for anything. We are already planning on booking again!
