Rowan Retreat is the perfect place to hide away from the world in the utmost eco glamping comfort. Surrounded by wildlife at this river view location in a quiet corner of Cumbria, you won't find better than this.

Inside Rowan shepherds hut French doors lead you into the well-equipped kitchen area complete with LPG gas oven, hob and fridge. There are all the utensils you need as well as pots, pans and crockery. To the left of the kitchen is the bedroom area with a king-size bed topped with a Vispring mattress and luxury Egyptian cotton linen, for a very comfortable nights sleep. The oak dining table and chairs can be folded away neatly under the bed when not in use. Rowan Retreat is incredibly warm with Herdwick wool insulation, and the floor and roof structure are heated with LPG. The Scandinavian style shower room has a shower, wash basin, WC and chrome heated towel rail, as well as complimentary toiletries.

Outside, enjoy a coffee or a barbecue at the outdoor seating area whilst immersed in nature, or huddle around the firepit, listen to the owls and watch the stars. Locally sourced charcoal and logs are supplied for the fire and barbecue. This really is a very special spot which you will want to return to again and again to recharge.

Shortly there will be a heated external drying cupboard for wet coats and boots for the hut.

A torch is recommended as the gravel driveway leading to the Shepherds Hut is unlit.
