Step inside and you’ll find a spacious kitchen/diner, fully equipped for preparing hearty meals after a day exploring the great outdoors. Just off this space is a practical utility room, complete with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine – everything you need for a hassle-free stay.

The sitting room invites you to unwind with its deep sofa, armchair, and warming woodburning stove – the perfect spot to relax after your adventures. For a quieter moment, head to the snug, where a Smart TV awaits for an evening film or your favourite series.

When it’s time to rest, choose from three beautifully appointed bedrooms: a super-king-size with its own walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC; a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower and basin; and a twin room, all designed with comfort in mind. Further afield, there’s plenty to tempt you out for the day – from the enchanting Wray plantation, managed by the National Trust, to steam train rides from Haverthwaite Station on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.

The pretty village of Coniston is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District National Park, making it a superb base for touring, with Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere and Grasmere just a short drive away. Superb walking, mountain biking and climbing are available locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, and the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest.

For watersports enthusiasts, the quiet lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola’, or visit Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin. Nearby attractions include the award-winning village of Hawkshead, home of the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Tarn Hows, one of the most visited beauty spots in the country and Esthwaite Water, famous for its fishing.
