Set within the pretty village of Coniston, fronted by a small courtyard, and with access to walks right from the doorstep, is Greenbeck Cottage. Ideal for a family of five, two couples and friends, this attached cottage offers a cosy interior with an open fireplace, dining area for enjoying home cooked meals and plenty of storage space. With private off-road parking for one car, and some additional guest spaces available, arrive safely into this homely accommodation. To the left is the sitting room. Gather together after a day of exploring and get snug and warm in front of the bright orange flames as you enjoy a film on TV. Across the hallway is the kitchen, with a seating area for 5 to join around a farmhouse table. The fitted units and sleek worktops assist with cooking preparations throughout your stay, while the slimline dishwasher helps with the cleaning up. Upstairs are a set of nicely presented bedrooms, served by a white bathroom. Views over the patio to the rear of the property stretch across the green fields and over to the Coniston Fells. The garden backs onto a fenced babbling beck and occupies a barbecue enjoying alfresco lunches on a sunny afternoon. Bring your four-legged friends along and let them enjoy the long walks and fun-filled activities as well. Some of the most beautiful scenery engulfs this property, making it a splendid base for touring the area. Pay a visit to Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere and Grasmere, with shops, pubs, woodland trails, cycling routes, boat trips and so much more! For those looking for something more energetic on the water, the lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing. Climb Scaffel Pike, visit Tarn Hows and try delicious local ales at the many watering holes scattered all over this wonderful region. The perfect escape to Cumbria!

This pretty village is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District National Park, with Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere and Grasmere just a short drive away. Superb walking, mountain biking and climbing are available locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, and the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. For watersports enthusiasts, the lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the steam yacht 'Gondola’.
