After spending a long day in the car with a 6 month old on a very hot day it was very annoying to finally get out of the car at the property only to have to get straight back in the car again to go back down to the offices because the door key didn't work so we couldn't get in! Also when I booked I obviously mentioned I was bringing the baby but when we got to the property there was barely room for his cot, we couldn't put him in our room as we would at home as there was no room in there for him at all and to get him in the spare room we had to wedge his cot between the bottom of the bed and the wardrobe and literally climb over the bed to get in the room to him. Wouldve thought that maybe the space wouldn't have been adequate when I booked and we had a few disturbed nights due to the bedroom door having to be left open as we couldn't shut it because of the cot not fitting in the room properly so quite often when we got up in the night he could hear the noise and would wake up. Also we were disturbed a few times late at night by guests at south view(?) Camp site standing at the bottom of the car park which is very close to your property shouting and generally making a nuisance of themselves. The cottage itself was lovely and in a good location being close to many places of interest but these experiences did put a dampener on the holiday for us

Our stay at Maple Leaf Cottage was fantastic. The cottage was very nicely presented and was spotlessly clean with everything provided to ensure a comfortable stay. We loved the comfy beds and the reclining settees were brilliant! Being in the heart of Windermere village we were able to walk out and enjoy everything the village has to offer including fantastic shops, restaurants and coffee shops etc. without the need to use the car. Windermere is located between Bowness and ambleside with the stunning lakeland scenery right on the doorstep. We will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in maple leaf cottage, the standard of the interior was beyond our expectations. Our 5year old daughter loved the cottage and her bedroom as she had 2 beds zipped into one big double bed for her and all her teddies we took:-)) The location was lovely and we walked into bouness which was less than a half hour walk. We visited many surrounding areas ie, Grasmere, Keswick, Rghed Centre. The large Lakeland shop was a 2min walk from the cottage and definitely worth a visit for coffee and cake :-)) All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking with cottage holiday group again for weekend and school holiday breaks :-))
