The lodge's cleanliness and facilities generally meet expectations, contributing to a relaxing stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge is frequently described as very clean, with only a few guests noting concerns about specific cleanliness issues such as scuffed walls or a dusty floor. The majority of reviews, however, reflect a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its perfect setting, offering privacy and tranquillity, as well as being an excellent base for exploring the Lake District and enjoying local attractions like Lake Windermere.

Most guests find the lodge comfortable, with luxurious furnishings and a homely feel. A few guests mentioned issues with beds and a lack of sunlight in the lodge's position, but these are relatively minor compared to the overall positive feedback.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the hot tub being a standout feature. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken gate lock, non-working outside lights, and a problematic cooker hob, which lowers the score in this category.

While many reviews express appreciation for the lodge's amenities and the efforts to ensure a comfortable stay, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be given for this category.

We brought my brother who has mobility issues and the lodge was perfect, giving us some much needed space in a fantastic setting and location. Would definitely book again.

This next point is about the site. Finding the lodge in daylight was easy. finding it at night not so easy as the signage is difficult to read when dark. after two nights of aimless wandering the penny dropped re directions.
