An enviable position in easy walking distance of both Windermere village and Bowness means this high-quality apartment is just the ticket for two of our discerning Lakelovers!
The convenience of the location is a real blessing for those wanting to discover the vibrance of Lake District village life. After a night exploring the restaurants, stylish bars and night-spots of Bowness, stroll along to Homeground Cafe & Kitchen in Windermere to enjoy a mouth-watering brunch and quality coffee, being sure to leave room for one of their tasty cakes. This is one of many tearooms and eateries just a short wander from your little nest, and you also have the excellent groceries of Booths supermarket available locally to help you rustle up your own fare in the superb open-plan kitchen.
Oak beams, comfortable furnishings, and a wood-burning stove make cosying up in Hayloft a real pleasure. This is certainly one of our most companionable luxury cottages in Windermere. You even have separate little space aside from the main living-area in which to curl up with a good book. Skylights give a real feeling of space here, and also let you gaze up at the stars, a truly lovely thing to do on clear winter nights with the warmth of the fire keeping you toasty!
The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

Basic things like, washing liquid, kitchen roll, foil or clingfilm

The main bin in the living room was full along with rubbish in the bathroom and bedroom bins. The bedding had not been replaced nor had the towels. There was washing up on the side. We were asked to vacate the premises do that cleaning could be arranged. The stay itself was pleasant. We would recommend that the TV is replaced as it has lines down the right side and across the bottom quarter of the screen. We would also recommend that the main settee is replaced as it offers no support at all. Premises is well suited to explore the South lakes area but we are not able to recommend it to others

Some more loo roll would be nice and maybe some spray to clean kitchen surfaces.
