Sleeping four guests, it s ideal for families who want to explore the beauty of the southern lakes of Cumbria. Venture down to the shores of Bowness and Windermere villages where you ll find gorgeous gift shops, welcoming pubs and restaurants with delicious meals to enjoy, while children will beg to visit The World of Beatrix Potter attraction in Bowness. Hop on two wheels and explore the nearby village of Ambleside (7.5 miles), or venture to Wordsworth s Dove Cottage in the picture postcard village of Grasmere (11 miles). Enjoy a sunset cruise on Windermere before retreating to your beautiful holiday cottage. Step inside the hall of this charming retreat with a unique pretty design and layout. Dating back to the 1800s, this villa style lodge is set on a private country estate. On the ground floor, you ll discover the kitchen, dining room, and a downstairs cloakroom with a WC. Cook up a storm in the well equipped kitchen which features an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and a washing machine. Catch up on the day and enjoy home cooked meals around the circular dining table. Venture upstairs to find the family bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and WC; the living room; and two beautiful bedrooms made up of a double and a twin. After a busy day of adventures, settle into cosy seating by the warmth of the wood burner, set into a traditional slate hearth with a timber mantle, in the sunny seven sided living room which has cosy seating and woodland views, plus a TV, CD player with radio, books and DVDs. Enjoy slumbers in the pretty double bedroom with a beautiful dresser and garden views, and the cosy twin bedroom with ample storage and garden views. There s also a contemporary style family bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and WC. Outside, there s a spacious garden surrounding the lodge, a seated patio area for al fresco afternoons, plus access to a riverside walk. There s a pub within 1 mile and a shop nearby (1.5 miles).
