Slightly further afield, you have the popular village of Ambleside (13 miles) and Windermere (14 miles). Coniston itself has plenty to offer, with a range of cafés and bars at its centre. Set within the picturesque grounds of Lake Bank, Fairfield is located on the 1st and 2nd Floor of Lake Bank House and sets the scene for a relaxing break. Until recently a private dwelling the owners (since 1975) who already let 2 other holiday apartments in the building have made improvements to make the property ideal for a relaxing holiday with family or friends. Once parked in the private parking space, you can head up the stairs to this spacious first floor apartment. The shared hallway (used only by the owners and their personal guests) offers plenty of space to kick off your boots after a day on the fells. Once inside the first floor entrance you are led through to the main living space where the cosy sofas and wood burner offer a romantic space to enjoy the spectacular lake views and make the most of your holiday. Seated at the spacious glass dining table you can enjoy your meal and the views from all 4 windows. Off the hallway lies the amply supplied kitchen. With cool, neutral tones, this room makes cooking your evening meal a delight. Across the way, you will find the bright king size bedroom with spacious fitted wardrobes ( Bedroom 1). With more panoramic views across the lake from here, you can spend an evening stargazing into the evening sky or wake up refreshed in the morning sunshine. The en suite bathroom offers a spa bath for you to wind down and reflect on the day s events as well as a shower. The stairs from the lounge take you up to the spacious attic rooms which cater for an additional 4 guests. Entering the attic room you will see the large double room (Bedroom 3) with a double bed, large sofa( that converts to 2 single beds if required) wardrobe,tall boy and desk. Walking through the doorway to the adjoining Bedroom 2 which has a king sized bed, a freestanding bath and separate en suite wc. There is ample storage with wardrobe dressing table & drawers. Hidden in the archway of the double room you will find the washing machine/dryer and additional storage. Both rooms have Velux windows that can be opened to offer panoramic views across the lake and fells. Step outside and explore the acres of private woodlands and open space. Shared with the other properties on the grounds, these outdoor areas give you plenty to explore. You ll also find a handy dog wash, shared between the neighbouring properties. Need to know: 2 king size and 1 double bedrooms with double bed and double/twin sofa bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are Attic Rooms ajoined sharing freestanding open bath and separate WC which are located in the second king size room. Bedroom 1 en suite bathroom with spa bath, walk in shower and WC on first floor. Stunning Lake Views from all bedrooms and living room.
