Signs were up for slippy when wet decking but it's an accident waiting to happen. The decking was covered in thick green slime. I have decking in a tree covered area at home and if u jet wash at start of summer it lasts all year thro. My partner had to go out and scrub the area we used. The key for the left hand French door does not fit correctly and takes quite a while to lock or open door and lastly a lack of trays for using oven. Apart from this it was a lively stay.

After a few hours I could smell very strong urine in the living area and investigated to find urine soaked kitchen roll beneath the rug in the living area. I decided to lift the rug to clean the area and it was very clear that the area had not been cleaned before our stay. Similarly in the master bedroom there was a used tissue under one of the bedside cabinets. Showing again that cleaning had not been thorough. Unfortunately this made my stay less enjoyable as I began to worry about what had and had not been cleaned, this is important during any stay but especially during a global pandemic. We had a small spillage on the sofa so I cleaned this leaving a patch on the sofa which again showed how dirty the sofa was. We were unable to use the internet in the lodge throughout our stay also. I believe that for the rate we paid we should not have had to contend with such things.

There were builders on the next property who were noisy and the facilities for recycling were not clear. The interior was nice though the bedrooms were cramped and storage space limited. The games seemed to be broken. There was very little toilet paper for the number of occupants. Several times large coaches parked in front of the building meaning it was impossible to turn into the narrow bridge and we had to park on the road . The local pub did a 'deal' for two courses at £14.99 but they still charged that price even though the two courses came to £11.50! Very annoying.
