    "We know this area very well and we loved this house with its period features, enclosed backyard and attractive well-maintained gardens. The two staircases to access the bedrooms was very convenient but please note that the description of the house fails to mention that the bunk room opens directly onto steep stairs, a hazard for small children. We solved this by buying a stair gate (Argos in Kendal) but perhaps the owner could consider providing one. The surfaces in the house were clean but other things were not (blankets in wardrobe were grubby). There was no heating and hot water when we arrived despite the controls indicating otherwise; bit of a brain teaser until we realised the boiler thermostat was turned to zero! Better house instructions would have been useful."

    "Very spacious accommodation, useful to have two lounges to give grandparents a breather . TV lounge seated our seven comfortably. Large dining room and kitchen. Boot room very useful. Quiet location, large nicely laid out garden and plenty of off-road parking. Helped to make a great week in The Lakes."

    "We arrived at 3pm, but the cleaners had not yet been. They arrived at 3.15 and left 20 mins later, during which time we waited outside. We feel that the cottage is in need of a good clean, as there were cobwebs floor to ceiling in the lounges, unchanged fly papers in the kitchen and dining room, and surfaces needing dusting. Also several light bulbs needed replacing. The biggest problem was with the septic tank, with sewage backing up in the downstairs toilet and shower.Despite these problems we enjoyed our stay, loved the cottage, well equipped kitchen and excellent games provided for children."

    "Beautiful location and accommodation. The negatives are on arrival bins were full and not properly cleaned. Overall we had a lovely time though and would recommend the venue."

    "Lovely cottage, in beautiful location. Kitchen is a little tired and the yard behind the kitchen would be a lovely place to have breakfast if it was tidied up a little bit. But on the whole a lovely cottage and we really enjoyed our stay .Our dog loved the garden , she is well behaved and does not wonder , as the garden is not secure more inquisitive dogs may get out. Would definitely stay again and with a little TLC would definitely be a 10/10"

    "The holiday was very good, but accommodation needed a good clean and the Enclosed garden was disappointing as you could not allow the dog to run as the gaps below the fence were to big, the cottage court yard needed a good clean and clearing all the weeds. their was no welcome pack and I believe the cottage is over priced until all the issues are addressed. I would not recommend"
