Broomriggs apartments form part of a stunning conversion of a quintessential English country estate house that dates back to the turn of the century.
The House, approached by a long sweeping driveway bordered by Rhododendrons is set in an elevated position overlooking Esthwaite Water. Each of the apartments has magnificent views of both the Lake and the much sought after surrounding mountain scenery incorporating The Langdales, Coniston and Wetherlam ranges.
Private lake frontage and rowing boats are available for visitors use as well as approximately 40 acres of gardens and woodlands. There is also a children’s play area with swings and outside table tennis.
Broomriggs 9 is first floor apartment for 2 with fantastic views. It is accessed over a private walkway from the back of the house. It has a large lounge/dining room with electric fire, comfortable settee and armchair TV with sky DVD and video. The newly fitted kitchen is equipped with electric cooker and hob and fridge and microwave.
There is a pretty simply furnished double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath .
Outside we are sure guests will not only be captivated by the views but will also enjoy the beauty of the landscaped gardens and surrounding woodlands

A small comfortable apartment traditionally furnished. The view from the sitting room of Esthwaite water was fabulous. Everything we needed for our short stay. Very good value.

Although our stay was only for a week, we had a very full and satisfying time. There certainly is plenty to see and do within a reasonable distance, and beyond if one wanted to venture further afield. The view from our lounge/dining room over the lake was superb, breakfasts and dinners were had at the dining room table over-looking the valley and the Lake. The condition of the apartment was excellent and all our needs were adequately provided for. The location was superb, away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the Lake District towns, and we were able to drive into the various towns/villages with ease, even though there were many people and traffic in the towns, which is to be expected in holiday season. We would recommend to anyone wanting self catering, relatively private, accommodation in the Lake District to try Broomriggs. It was very easy checking in upon arrival, and we were given plenty of information about the apartment and , indeed, about the area. Thanks for a pleasant base for a good holiday.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Broomriggs. Pat and Alan the caretakers were very helpful and everything had been done to ensure a relaxing holiday. Information that we received prior to our visit was very informative and although I have stayed at Broomriggs before we would have found the property without any difficulty with the information that was provided. There was plenty of information in the flat but I did update some of it as some of the leaflets were quite old. The apartment was very clean and I thought good value for money.
