This light and airy space offers both a place to enjoy a hearty meal and a place to relax beside the electric fire stove and catch up on your favourite TV shows. From here, the bifold doors allow in seas of natural light and open up onto a beautiful balcony with stylish furniture and a backdrop of mature trees, a simply dreamy space to relax at the end of the day with a glass of your favourite beverage, and from here you can access local walks via a gate in the garden and venture into the local countryside. There is also a front communal patio with furniture where guests can enjoy morning coffee. The kitchen houses many amenities in contemporary furniture, catering to your culinary needs. There is the option of a soak in the tub in the bathroom or a separate shower room, ideal for freshening up before snuggling down into one of the two bedrooms, choosing between a king-size and a twin. This wonderful property rests in Clappersgate near Ambleside, a delightful rural location with access to local walks right on your doorstep, including Todd Crag. For amenities and attractions, head into the delightful village of Ambleside, where there is a convenience store, loads of tasty eateries where you can enjoy a meal out, and independent shops to browse at your leisure. Ambleside also houses a Roman Fort and access to the fantastic Lake Windermere where there are loads of opportunities for watersports, wild swimming and lake cruises. Walk through the scenery at Elterwater, following the riverside trail towards Skelwith Force and seeing what wildlife you can spot along the way. The property is also within many amazing walks and mountain bike trails through the local scenery, and has access to many local attractions including Coniston, Hawkshead and Scafell Pike. All of this and so much more with a stay at the delightful Fell View.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.

Take the small gate in the front garden into the woodland surrounding the property. Follow the Todd Crag path for beautiful views of Windermere at sunrise. From there you can drop down into Ambleside or walk further north for Loughrigg Fell and Grassmere. The apartment was a welcome retreat. Comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen, cosy bedrooms. The only disappointment was a fairly feeble shower but there is a bath if you prefer. Would definitely return!

Set in such a peaceful, quiet location with lovely garden views and not too far from Ambleside. Exceptionally clean and well presented throughout. We will definitely be back in the future!

Unfortunately (our fault) we arrived after dark so it was difficult to find the actual entrance, the outside lights weren’t that great , but we met someone staying next door who assisted. Comfortable living area, furniture seemed quite new. Extremely well equipped and immaculate kitchen and facilities ( only think missing was a whisk). Lovely decking area over shared garden and some great walks directly from the cottage. Could improve heating in the shower room as towel rail does not heat the room enough. Blinds in bathroom could be updated. Slept well in the comfortable bedroom with lots of storage for clothes. Overall, lovely cottage and would return and recommend.
