Snaptrip says

Babbling Brook is a well-received holiday cottage in Ambleside, praised for its prime location, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped amenities. Guests appreciate the quiet area, modern kitchen, and the convenience of being close to shops and restaurants. While some guests mentioned minor issues with cleanliness and comfort, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property generally appears clean, but several reviews suggest the need for a deeper clean, mentioning dust, dirt under sofas, and a dirty shower hose. The recurrence of these points indicates room for improvement in thoroughness.

The location is highly praised for being peaceful, close to the town centre, and convenient for exploring the Lake District, making it an ideal base for guests.

Comfort receives mixed feedback. While the property is described as cosy and welcoming, several guests noted issues with mattress firmness and suggested improvements like additional blinds for privacy.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a modern kitchen and reliable wifi. However, some guests noted the absence of a dryer and minor maintenance issues like a problematic front door and the need for additional cleaning products.

There is insufficient information regarding thoughtfulness, such as gifts or special touches provided by the hosts, to accurately assess this category. Therefore, no score can be given.

Just one comment the mattress in the main bedroom is very hard, might require memory foam topper but had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again. Thank you. Jackie M
