West View is a bright, spacious recently renovated 16th century cottage. It is in a great location, overlooking fields and still only a short walk into the village. With private parking for two cars and a small garden and patio overlooking fields and forest - this a lovely relaxing haven just outside the village for those wanting to explore the mountains and lakes or simply wander around the flower-filled lanes and cobbled yards. Hawkshead offers a variety of shops and places to drink and eat.
The modern, spacious, fitted kitchen/dining room has gas cooker and hob, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a dining table and chairs for 6. For relaxing with coffee or perhaps a glass of wine there is the addition of a small conservatory off the kitchen with table and chairs and lovely views of the rolling countryside.
The light and airy living room has a coal effect gas fire, freeview satellite TV, video and DVD and a mini hi-fi. There is a convenient downstairs wc.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom, with kingsize bed has lovely views to enjoy from the comfort of your bed. There is a pretty twin bedded room and a smaller room with bunk beds, ideal for children. The bathroom has a bath with shower overhead, wc and basin.
Outside there is a sunny patio area and small, pretty garden. There is off road parking for 2 cars and secure on-site storage for mountain bikes, kayaks etc by prior arrangement.
Gas central heating makes it suitable for all year round use

Lovely cottage, well equipped, even had thoughtful touches of dog bowls and towels that were appreciated! The field and forest views were superb. We were all very happy! We would like to return soon.

West View is in wonderful position just a couple of minutes walk into Hawkshead village. The views from the house are great. There was more than enough room for our family (4 adults, a 4 year old and a 1 year old), with a big double bed, 2 singles and a bedroom with bunk beds (loved by the 4 year old boy). The lounge was spacious with comfy sofas and chair. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils (except a bottle opener) and again spacious with a dining table for 6 people. Plenty of outside space with lots of chairs to use.

West View is perfectly situated close to the beautiful village of Hawkshead, overlooking rolling fields - plus sheep and lambs, and very close to several of our favourite walks in the South Lakes and the Langdales.
