This has been beautifully designed, creating an attractive and contemporary space with oak floors and coordinated fabrics. The stylish kitchen is very well equipped with built in gas hob and electric oven and microwave/oven, large fridge freeze, dishwasher and washing machine. The dining table is set to the rear of the property with french doors leading out into the garden. Two deep settees surround the woodburning stove with a large wall mounted TV, finish off this lovely room perfectly. The owners have also added an ipod dock for guests.
A door leads to the front of the cottage where there is an an additional lounge, traditionally furnished with sofa and chair, TV with DVD and a lovely open fire and views across the field to the village. There is a downstairs wc with basin
Upstairs there are 3 pretty bedrooms; a double , a twin room and a single. The modern bathroom offers a lovely deep bath (perfect after a days walking) with hand held shower attachment, separate shower cubicle, basin and wc.
The property is heated by gas central heating and perfect for all year round use.
There is off road parking for 3 cars and an enclosed garden with sun terrace complete with furniture for alfresco dining.
We are sure this new addition to Hideaways' portfolio will very quickly become a firm favourite with our guests.

Great cottage in a great location. Excellent facilities, very clean and well equipped. First time we've stayed in a Hideaways cottage but very impressed with the cottage and the company. Will definitely use Hideaways again and would definitely return to Applerigg

Stayed at this property three times now always in December. The cottage is extremely cosy, there is a woodburner but the central heating is brilliant. Lovely modern kitchen/dining/ lounge, bright and airy. Comfortable beds. We've stayed around Hawkshead a lot and this is the best property we have rented. Love the location, and Hawkshead is a lovely village long may it continue.

Well located just outside the centre of the village but close to shops and pubs. Applerigg has been beautifully modernised to provide an excellent standard of holiday accommodation. The kitchen and bathroom are particularly spacious and well fitted. I have stayed at this property twice and noticed year on year improvements . Lakeland Hideaways are efficient and friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I will be booking Applerigg again in 2017.
