About this property

Lovingly converted by a new owner, this tastefully refurbished property in the heart of the village offers stylish accommodation for two adults. It is ideal for guests who want to explore the Lakes, roam over hills, cycle in Grizedale Forest, or just relax in the village without the need to use a car.

External steps lead to a stable door opening onto a hallway. The living space is open-plan and airy, incorporating a fitted kitchen and a lounge with TV and DVD, wifi, a deep leather settee, a chair, and a wood-burning stove on a slate hearth, attractively set in an exposed stone wall. The modern kitchen has a built-in electric hob and oven, fridge, washer/drier and dishwasher. This wonderfully romantic hideaway overlooks the main village square and is a perfect place to sit and watch the world go by at any time of the year whilst listening to the church bells ring.

The glamorous glass–sided staircase leads up to the bedroom and bathroom under a beamed vaulted roof. The bed can be made up as either a double bed or twin beds if requested. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and W.C. The property is heated throughout by underfloor heating, with ample storage in the built-in cupboards.

There is parking for 1 car via permit in the main Hawkshead Carpark.

This property is ideal for couples seeking quality accommodation which is both convenient for the village whilst offering easy access to walks and cycles in Grizedale Forest and the surrounding fells.

The cottage is tastefully decorated, very quirky, cosy, clean and in and brilliant location. We had a very comfortable stay and the cottage has everything you need

This cottage was perfectly located in the National Park and made access to various walks easy. The cottage was directly across from the pubs that serve the village which was also handy. Parking was easy as was checkin. The cottage itself had a well equipped kitchen with laundry.

So modern and well designed it felt like a home from home, Thankyou so much to Lakeland Hideaways for the great customer service and ease of booking- we'd love to return one day!
