This stylish property decorated to the highest standards on three levels, has been converted from the village police station and court house - hence the name Copper Tops.
It offers superb quality accommodation with Gas central heating in picturesque Hawkshead.
This property is ideal for those seeking quality accommodation which is both convenient for the village whilst offering easy access to walks and cycles in Grizedale Forest and the surrounding fells.
The entrance hall leads to a large kitchen/diner, cream units and walls add to the airy, spacious feel and the slate floor completes the effect perfectly. The well equipped kitchen has a seperate hob(gas) and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, and a round dining table. The living room is beautifully decorated; thick tapestry curtains contrast perfectly with the deep, comfy sofas. TV, (with Sky Freeview) DVD and music centre. The woodburner in the fireplace is a great finishing touch and is great for those chilly Autumn/Winter evenings. There is wireless internet access for the use of guests.
Upstairs the main bathroom has shower, basin, wc and heated towel rail. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, and en-suite shower, basin and wc. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds . On the top floor is bedroom 3 - with a double bed and en-suite shower, basin and wc. All the bedrooms have fine furnishings and thick tapestry curtains.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept downstairs and not allowed in the bedrooms.
There is parking for 1 car next to the property in a designated space an a permit for 1 car in the main Hawkshead Carpark close by.

The property is very well located only a few steps away from the shops, pubs and restaurants in Hawkshead. We found it clean and well equipped in both the kitchen (gas hob and electric oven) and living room with wifi, a large TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player. The bedrooms are upstairs, two on the first floor (one with en-suite shower room) and a third on the second floor, again with en-suite facilities). There is a third toilet and shower room on the first floor. Adequate storage in the bedrooms. The steps are quite steep so may not suit anyone with mobility problems. A bag of foodie treats (biscuits, jam, marmalade, teabags, coffee) was left by Lakelands Hideaways which was very welcome. We really enjoyed the stay at Copper Tops. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

All you could need. Right where you want it........A very comfortable and well appointed property right near the heart of Hawkshead. The quality of the furnishings etc was first class and each of the three bedrooms having its own bathroom was a bonus, as was the availability of a parking pass for a second car.
