Grimbles Cottage is highly praised for its immaculate condition, comfort, and prime location for exploring the Lake District. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, cosy bedrooms, and the added bonus of a conservatory. The property's cleanliness and thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack, contribute to a delightful stay, although minor maintenance issues are noted.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and well-presented. However, a few guests mentioned minor cleaning oversights, such as a found face mask and a shower in need of attention, which slightly impacted the overall perception of cleanliness.
The location is frequently commended for its convenience to tourist spots and the Lake District. It is described as a good base for exploring the area, with some attractions within walking distance. The proximity to an A road was mentioned but did not detract significantly from the overall experience.
Guests consistently report that the cottage is comfortable, with quality furniture and cosy bedrooms. The presence of a conservatory and private parking are appreciated. A few guests mentioned the sofa and heating issues, but these are minor compared to the overall comfort enjoyed.
The property is well-equipped with cooking, laundry facilities, and games. Guests enjoyed the homely touches and modern conveniences. Some facilities maintenance issues were reported, such as light bulbs needing replacement and a leaky conservatory, which suggests room for improvement.
Many guests felt the owners were thoughtful, providing welcome packs and being on hand for assistance. While gifts like Kendal mint cake were mentioned, it should be noted that such extras are a delightful surprise rather than a guaranteed feature of every stay.
