The lower ground floor of Rockwood provides 4 of the 5 bedrooms in the property, they are well-presented with tasteful linen, the 2 double rooms have an en-suite each and there is also a classy family bathroom. Up to the first floor there lies the fifth bedroom, also with an en-suite and a velux window, on this floor there is also a well-appointed games room with a pool table and table football, ideal for a rainy day. When it's not raining, sit outside with a refreshing drink, or enjoy the huge lawn area all to yourselves, an excellent spot for families to spend a summer afternoon. Lindale is a fine village to spend your holiday in, with quaint buildings, it offers shops and pubs and is a delightful place. Nearby there is the lovely town of Grange-over-Sands, another one of the Lake District's gems, it has a good range of amenities and a golf course. Bowness-on-Windermere is also a fantastic place to visit, as well as the incredible things that the Lake District National Park has to offer. Rockwood is an outstanding cottage in a beautiful countryside location.

The village of Lindale is in the Lake District National Park, a few miles from Grange-over-Sands. Sitting on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell, Grange has a true lakeland feel with narrow streets, stone dwellings, two pubs and a golf course. Cartmel, with its sticky toffee pudding, famous horse race meetings, a 12th century priory, and gourmet restaurants is a 10 minute drive away from Grange. Arnside is also worth a visit. Just a short drive away is Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere, and Hawkshead - which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many. The area is perfect for walking and cycling for people of all abilities, with Sustrans cycleways and Grizedale Mountain Bike trails nearby. Take a stroll along the promenade at Grange-over-Sands or explore the fells. Amidst the charm of the southern lakes, this village makes an inspiring choice from which to enjoy the whole of a magical area.
