Cartmel, the coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange-over-Sands and mystical Lake Windermere are all well worth a visit. An idyllic holiday retreat.
Just a short drive away is Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead - which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many. Set amidst the charm of the southern lakes this attractive village makes an inspiring choice from which to enjoy the whole of a magical area.

The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend it. The only slight disappointment was that the village shop had closed down, so we had to go out of the village to buy bread and milk.

Very nice and clean but next time it may be possible to leave the mop & bucket in the conservatory as it made the downstairs a bit smelly

All amenities were in good working order. Everything we needed to make our holiday enjoyable - easy reach of everything⦠we loved our stay and the real fire was a treat for us all during our stay. The cottage is in a lovely quiet location only the sounds of the countryside close by. The cottage has 3 bathrooms which is an extra feature thatâs needed especially when your a family of 5 :) We would recommend this cottage and will definitely stay again.
