Longlands The Coach House is set in a stunning location with beautiful gardens, ideal for dog owners and nature lovers. The property offers a quaint, rustic charm and is praised for its peacefulness and the friendliness of the staff. While some guests found the decor dated, the unique setting and the ability to freely roam the grounds with pets are highly valued.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with some guests finding the cottage clean, while others reported issues such as a musty smell, dog biscuits on the floor, and an uncleaned property upon arrival. The bathroom was noted as clean by some, suggesting variability in standards.

The location is highly praised for its beauty, tranquility, and suitability for dogs, with easy access to walks and the town. The walled garden and surrounding countryside are particular highlights, contributing to a memorable experience.

Comfort receives a moderate rating due to mixed feedback. While the bed was described as comfortable by some, others found the furniture, including settees and chairs, to be dated and uncomfortable. The presence of a cosy gas fire was noted, although its effectiveness was questioned.

Facilities are considered average, with several guests experiencing issues with hot water supply and the lack of a functional shower. The kitchen and heating were also points of contention, though the inclusion of a bath and the overall rustic charm were appreciated.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the host. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

But aren't we all! Quirky little house, great place for a long weekend! Great property the dog loved to be able to run around. The hot water takes a while but you get used to it.

Lovely cottage, adequately equipped. Whilst the bath was lovely, water supply was difficult so only one bath was possible a day and the shower head was unusable as water was either red hot or freezing cold, no middle ground for a shower or to wash hair. Otherwise was beautiful

The Coach House cottage is detached on its own which was good for us as we had a young baby so weren't worried we disturb anyone. The walled garden that is just through a lovely old white gate is amazing, it's like entering the secret garden or something for a film where you're able to help yourself to produce for your supper - absolutely fantastic. The Gardner who tends to it deserves and award! We also found the cottage perfect for our active border collie as we could be up on the fields at the back and up the hill towards Grange over Sands in a matter of minutes. We only briefly drove through Cartmel village but it looked very charming with a few nice pubs and a racecourse running through the centre! Other reviews mention the settee in the cottage, it is rubbish but the look of it fits in with the decor. Would definitely return thank you
